Okay, look.
I'm never on /fa/. this is the first time I'm actually posting. I don't know anything about your rules, or injokes, or standards, I just know that you're the fashion people. so let me just get some answers here.
right off the bat, I consider myself a proponent of Industrial fashion. I'm 20, 140 lbs, male, gymnastics instructor part time. I like industrial gothic clothing, I wear it frequently if not constantly. I like Lipservice, sometimes Rude, I'm kinda getting into Undercover.
What do you guys think of these brands?
what do you think of Rivethead fashion?
I enjoy wearing eyeliner. is this a problem?
I have six Major (5 in. or greater) tattoos, and about four minor (4 in. or under). what does /fa/ think of tattoos?
piercings?
all thoughts are appreciated, Pic is Ronny Gardh if people on here did not know.

There's nothing about what you wear that is even remotely close to "fashion"

Everybody wears clothes. Just because you wear clothes doesn't mean you're into fashion.

P.S the guy in your picture looks like a faggot

okay, so do me a favor, will you? be productive and define what you think "Fashion" means, and try not to be a waste of DNA.
and I thought /fa/ was all about being fair to the faggots. maybe I had the wrong Idea, but hell, what do I know.

Yes, you did.

Just because fashion is creative does not mean that it is subjective.

>what do you think of Rivethead fashion?
defining your outfit by any single instance of any cultural medium is almost always bad. It's an extremely shallow manner of going about the outfit and generally is a stark contrast against contemporary fashion, most often done by people who do not understand the concept of context.

>I enjoy wearing eyeliner. is this a problem?
Not if you wear it well and understand what it means to wear eyeliner in the manner that you use it

>what does /fa/ think of tattoos?
See: rivethead
Most tattoos are mindless garbage and its difficult to do them well. The few notable, heavy-tattoo'd people are almost all religious, and there tends to be a lot of depth behind their tattoos (as opposed to representing some shitty band or cultural icon of the 20th century or some shitty quote about love)

Basically, all the things you're talking about can be ok if done intelligently but from the sounds of it you're just another mindless stereotypical fuck who managed to find himself among more fucks

I couldn't find a decent pic of a "normal" outfit. I don't photograph myself often. so here's what I can give you. say what you will, all I need is context. it's probably not gonna change my actual style of dress, but it's worth a shot

and no, in fact I own a pair of jeans from vice, it's a decent line, although I avoid jeans as often as I can.

look, it seems to me like I came to the wrong place looking for the wrong kind of advice. I don't know anything about what you guys hold to respectable standards, so I don't know what you people consider fashion. I feel kinda silly jumping through hoops for some faggots on the off chance you'll actually tell me something semi-constructive.

if you say undercover, do you mean undercover/undercoverism by Jun or some other brand ?

>> No.7321949

>>7321918

You look like a stumpy, wide-hipped 14 year old whose wardrobe is comprised of Hot Topic and Yesstyle.com

I have nothing remotely constructive to say. There is no way to make that any better without starting over completely.

i think deconstructive criticism would help him more at this point

>> No.7321976

OP - to be serious w/ you, if you're real - if you're dressing in the fashion of a music based subculture, a board based on general fashion is not for you. Especially ours - like two seconds of lurking would have clued you into what /fa/ggots generally appreciate.

You don't need the approval of /fa/ to enjoy what you wear, and while I can tell you that I think you look fucking stupid, there's no reason to get butthurt over it. This board isn't for you - just go.

>> No.7322001

>>7321976
you know what? thank you. you're not the first person to think I look shitty, you won't be the last. and I think just the fact that I kinda get what /fa/ is about, maybe not really, whatever, it helps. you guys seem to have standards that are a bit too ridiculous for me, but you guys are what you wanna be. anyway, not verbally fellating you for being straight up, sorry for wasting anyones time, you've actually kinda helped, no this was not a troll thread, bait, etc. I'm just fucking casual.
/thread.

>> No.7322010

>>7322001
You alright, OP.

Sorry if these guys were a little hard on you, they take fashion more seriously than you do.

It's an interesting dynamic. Everybody wears clothes, but few people take fashion seriously. Fashion is a hobby for us.

>> No.7322016

Ok, since I'm a decent person (unlike most of these shitposters telling you that there's only one way to do fashion right even thought they probably do it wrong) I'll give you some constructive criticism.

In the pic you posted you look pretty average mall-goth type.
The lip piercing doesn't really work for you and your haircut is wrong for your hair/face. You have thick, wavy hair, similar to mine. I know from experience that it is difficult to pull off cool/edgy haircuts with that type of hair. I recommend finding a shampoo that helps with frizzy hair (none of that volumizing shit) and getting the sides trimmed so you can style your hair like this:
http://equallywed.com/images/blogs/beautygrooming/masculine-hair/thick-wavy-side-part-mens-hair-groom-wedding.jpg

From the pic you provided it looks like you have a good body for clothing, so slim/skinny pants will look great on you, but chains and zippers etc. usually look cheap.
If you're going for cargo pants look for ones that are fitted to your body.

I just got too tired to write more so basically if you want better help finding clothing that's more your style check out http://www.styleforum.net/ , there is a guy there who has similar style and they're less abusive than /fa/ (though that isn't much of a feat).

Also I advise not being too abrasive with them because otherwise they just get really crass and won't help.

loling at these acne apc rickasos niggas who think thats the only thing in fashion

>I have six Major (5 in. or greater) tattoos, and about four minor (4 in. or under). what does /fa/ think of tattoos?
piercings?
it doesnt matter what /fa/ thinks in this regard, tats shouldnt be uniform

>What do you guys think of these brands?
never heard of them all except for Undercover if even thats the same one we're thinking of

>I enjoy wearing eyeliner. is this a problem?
not fond of it esp if it's done in very overt/ messy cheap shit
and unless it gets in the way of your job then there's little to argue against
see Tom Ford

Listen man, there's very little wrong you're doing if you're enjoying your lifestyle and are true to it,even if i wouldnt do what youre doing theres not much wrong here, unless you're starting to question your choices then question what you wanna do style wise and where you're going life wise
