What's the point of buying clothes if the things you want are always sold out?

>> No.7302645

you don't buy things you want, you buy things other people want so you can sell it to them at outrageous markup once the original source sells out

Fuck that's nice.
What is the material like? Looks kind of papery?

It's Tyvek. The shit they wrap unfinished buildings in, that those USPS prepaid shipping envelopes are made out of.

>> No.7304173

>>7304153
tyvek is a kind of paper but it's made with plastic fibers instead of wood pulp.

you see in commonly in untearable event wristbands, credit card protectors and fedex envelopes
it's also used for disposable coveralls and housing vapor barriers, among other things.

How does it age?
I'd assume it would be pretty water resistant but does it start to crack after a while? Also, when it creases, are the creases there permanently?

it won't rip or tear but it crumples and creases permanently like regular paper.

This fabric is made to be disposable. I like some their stuff very much, but they should make this shit from gore-tex for example. I'm not ready to wear construction materials.

>> No.7304277

>>7304242
Yeah, it looks really nice but having it in gortex or something like that would be better.
I guess that's the reason it's so cheap.

pretty sure goretex is a type of insulation, not a shell material proper

I'm probably the only person in the world who bought that No Content windrunner

I was taught by my chemistry teacher that the patent goretex has, as in what makes goretex special, is that they inveted a fiber that the holes are large enough on the inside that your own sweat can escape, but water isn't let it and no eat is lost because of it.

It's a thin layer of smart fabric with holes in it

>> No.7304374

it means it wasnt meant to be bruh

>> No.7304386

>>7304333
that's a picture of goretex i just posted right there, sounds like your chemistry teacher was misinformed.

>> No.7304390

>>7304374
thats a good shout man
altho sometimes its a test to see if you really want it
then u find it cheaper somewhere else
:D :D

>> No.7304398

>>7304386
Well we were doing smart materials and that does look like one
Maybe they roll it out thin or some shit, all I know is the breathabilty goretex go on about is from some material in the jacket that has 1 way ventilation

>> No.7304419

>>7304390

altho i've copped tings that have sat uncopped for weeks while i've saved furiously thinking they'll sell out by the time i've got the stacks

i order them,

they arrive safely, untaxed

and they end up unwearable, incohesive with my wardobe and nothing like i imagined they would fit my frame

truly the worst feel but i guess it's a lesson in itself

That feel when you look in the mirror and think
"what the fuck have I done..."
