Wowie zowie these can get pricey!
And that harness leather one was a custom.

But man, oh so nice.

Opinions on Viberg? How do they stack up against their southern neighbours?

For near 800 bucks a pair you'd hope they were miles ahead.

They are top tier. Strongly recommended. I'm looking to cop their service boots in ice mocha as soon as I have enough dough.

I think they're way overpriced. $700 for chromexcel, really? You can get shell cordovan Alden's at that price. If they were $500 I wouldn't hesitate though, dat silhouette.

>> No.7298275

>>7298254
You'd really hope that they make up for it in the other materials and overall construction. Not that chromexcel is bad, just not particularly rare or anything like that.

But that's just the uppers. I wonder how they're welted. (at that price I'd almost hope that they were hand welted or something hue)

Oh, and 20 weeks for an order? Sure hope there's some kind of canuk magic going on in their construction.

That's actually not too bad, well, cept about the shipping thing. Courier postage can get expensive, especially in the crappier parts of the world (but then you have to factor in customs costs etc.)

I have a black pair. I just find them not as comfortable as my pair of calf skinned Trickers boots. I also dont like the way they crease (quite ugly in fact, I thought this was their main selling point?). They just dont give me the same sense of excitement/good feels as when I wear my Trickers and Viberg pair.

>> No.7298416

They're already charging foreigners extra though. For locals they're only charging 1749k Indonesian Rupiah which is around $150 USD.

Yeah, I've heard that it's a very tough kind of leather.

>I also dont like the way they crease (quite ugly in fact, I thought this was their main selling point?).
Did trees not help with this?

On another note, are you the anon that posts pics of their Trickers Stowes every once and a while? Seems like old Tricks is rare on /fa/...

Leather quality is not the only thing taken into account when pricing shoes. Viberg construction is A++

>> No.7300963

>>7298313
Shell is made from a very specific (and relatively small) portion of horse ass, and takes around 6 months to tan. Not many tanneries produce it - Horween is the only one in North America that does. It's also an extremely tough material that requires very minimal maintenance.

I wonder how these hold up?
One month and 200+ bucks.
vs
4 and half month and 800+ - better construction etc.

I guess it depends where one's priorities lie. I just like the overall sleeker look without the bulbous toe, but I don't like it $800 much.

Nope, not me.

> How do your Tricks and Vibergs stack up against each other?

They are vastly different shoes built for different styles so it would be quite hard to say which is better IMO. I love them both to death. Currently I'm leaning toward Viberg though since their styles are more varied.

Pic related, my 10 month old Trickers Stows and 1 month old VibergxWanderWander collab.
