Well, if you go for a fairly traditional look you can't really go wrong. Black or dark blue suit, white dress shirt, black tie or black bow tie (if the dress code is actually black tie then I'd go for the bow tie), thin black or brown belt (if the suit's blue), black or brown (NOT brown if the suit is black) brogues or oxford shoes. The cut of the trousers is up to you. Slim fit is more current and hardly daring nowadays, unless your city is backward or something. Socks should be thin and either the same colour as the shoes or just black - not white or any striking colour. Google "how a suit should fit" or similar for what the length of everything should be.

Honestly the most important aspect of a suit is the fit. I don't know if you have a budget or not, but if you do then I would advise buying a cheaper suit and setting aside enough money to get it tailored, rather than buying a more expensive suit and not having it fit properly.

Yohji does more relaxed/wide-leg bottoms than true skirts, though he has played with skirted garments and wrapped things before. You can always go to LN-CC or Totokaelo MAN to see a pretty good representation of the current mainline styles. I guess my style is swagfag though i wouldnt describe myself as it. I wear SB hightops mainly and a graphic tee usually from upperplayground.com. Mix in some crews or hoodies. My favorite peice is a black leather jacket over a plain grey zip up hoodie. It gives me a ton of confidence.

I would like to up my jean game. I read early about unbranded and n&f. Thats about my price range. My waist size is 38 and ive worn 2 identicle pairs of levi straight leg relaxed fit i got at an outlet store for years. I think i would like a tapered leg because my jeans make my legs look like 2 long straight meat pillers. I want to lose more weight but what can make me look good now with a bit of an investment.
