My understanding of fascism is that it used ideology to promote social and political change and unity. Considering that ideology is expressed and promoted through things such as art, architecture, and clothing, it's by definition an effay ideology.

Fascism does imply a limiting of certain aesthetic expressions that are deemed improper by the state. Examples are plenty: Hitler's "degenerate art" (which included most Modernist works and the beginnings of the minimalist aesthetic most /fa/ggots worship to death) and the rejection of modernism in Italy too where futurism which in many ways helped birth Italian fascism was also banned.

Anarchism/libertarian socialism/whatever else you want to call it is still an ideal society to me, but participating in numerous NYC Occupy events a few years back did a lot to turn me off from it. "Procedural masturbation" is probably the most concise way to describe the way things were run (and I use the term loosely) there. Nothing happened. Nothing got done. Anything that was ultimately decided upon was inconsequential. It's no small wonder why it all fell apart.

I just want people to live dignified lives. If it takes a leader or a state to make that happen, then I'm ok with that at this point.
