I'm curious because I'm a 44; a rare size in the colorway I want. Will wearing geos laceless give a size up? (ie I could fit into 43 geos of I unlaced them?)

personally i never liked the look of them without laces, or with black laces; i feel like with that colorway, the white laces are perfect

for practical purposes it does actually tighten the top part around the ankle. also, from what i've seen, laces on rick shoes appear to be excessively long, so it's a way to get rid of extra lace without leaving them flopping like spaghetti onto the floor

how do i beat up my geos without fucking up the sole? i've been walking through the wet forrest a bunch of times and they still look quite new

it's really just "a thing" or "trend". people see other doing it on instagram or tumblr and does it themselves. not judging how it looks, but there isn't much of a reason for it. the negative part imo is that it somewhat ruins the comfort the zipper gives.
the laces that come with are kind of made for it, though. using any normal lacing style there will still be enough of it left to put it around the heel.
