Really need some boots for winter, but don't wan't anything too bulky or pricey.

Would prefer brown and under 200 dollars. Really like the RF x Chippewa Brown Bombers, but are a little to expensive for me.

Any ideas? I don't want anything too dadcore.

>> No.7207258

I am interested in this too. I want something black, with a side zipper, and a rather high top with a slip-resistant sole that will be good for walking on snow or ice.

Right now i'm stuck with this cheap $100 pair of chinese made wolverine steel toed boots. The soul is wearing through at the toe already and I've had the boots less than a year so maybe 70-100 days of wear at the most

I think you can get Red Wing 1907 for about 200 bucks if you're Murikan. Same style as your pic but IMHO better colour and better leather finish.

Assuming you're murrican, LL Bean Katahdin is a pretty good idea.

>Vibram sole
>Good quality leather
>Nice design, can be worn all year around
>$210

Pic stolen from google, I don't own a pair myself since I'm yuropean. I bought a pair of RW 8111 instead.

I own a pair of Selected Homme chukka boots, and they are actually quite decent. For your purposes, however, I wouldn't recommend them. The feel of the leather is more Italian'ish than, for example, the likes of Wolverine and Red Wing. It's too fragile, simply put.

Judge for yourself.

I hope we all agree that they look like utter shit as long as the soles re stil white. Do a hike in the forest with them before you wear them in public, if you choose to get them.

OP I'm right here with ya too. I think I've narrowed it down to either a dark brown/cherry boot... Part of me does want a black boot but I can get a cheaper black combat type boot that will match my black pants.

Right now I'm leaning towards:

-Red Wing IRs (not sure what color but hate the soles, probably would suck in snow except the sales person wants to tell me otherwise)

-Red Wing 875 (not sure what color, these will probably go with less fits but I do like the sole better than the IRs)

-LLBean Katahdin (looks like a great sleek shoe, will probably match nearly anything, awesome sole, great reviews and not a bad price)

Anyone have any other mentions?

Wolverine 1000 mile deserves a mention. Probably out of the rpice range, but damn that's a fine as shit boot. Awesome leather quality, awesome sleek profile, awesome build quality. I like them in their natural finish, but they do make them with other finishes. Pretty expensive tho.

I agree I do like the 1000 miles but I can't imagine spending that much just to want to take them to be resoled. Primary reason for wanting a new pair of nice boots is to walk through the snow and slush.

>>7207490
Those are definitely an option as well, forgot to mention them. They do have a sole that would work better for the snow and could appear to be a dressier boot as needed.

Thanks!

Any other punks/dieselcore/skins out there that can give me some info on Corcoran replica jump boots?

I've thrashed my 12 eye Martens to ribbons and was considering picking a pair of these up. I like them because they look like a nice vintage boot with your jeans rolled down, but I can roll them up and get amongst the filth at gigs/in town.

The WW2 replicas are what I'm really after. Would probably blacken them with polish, they just look the most vint. /fa/'s opinion? Durable leather? Worth the $180 price tag? I'll end up copping probably just want an indicator of the quality.

These are going to be the next pair of boots I buy. I already have RW IR's, 9075's, and Rust 1K's. I was thinking about getting black Alden's, but I just don't think buying expensive leather boots in black is a good idea. Brown just looks way more interesting, and I already have 9075's. If I really wanted another dark pair of boots, I'd go with Alden's Kudus. They're durable and they look almost purple from the video I have seen of it.

Completely unrelated to the OP but whatever.

qft, I brought a pair couple years back and they have pretty much fallen apart. For $280 I expect a lifetime of wear. Only after my mistake did I realise they were Thaiwanese docs (still official brand) and to buy docs made in the UK costs and extra hundred bucks!
