Label I recently became aware of buy enquiring in selfridges if they had any Rick in. The assistant seemed to think she had to reassure me that she wasn't offending me by suggesting a cheaper brand but that it was the closest to Rick that they had in. Was rather pleased actually as they do some nice cheap pieces that seemed well built and well designed.

ex. drkshdw pods in that heavy cotton dont really fold up in the middle, the legholes are just pushed out farther

I'm talking about constructing the garment so that it drapes better or in a more pleasing way that preserves a more consistent silhouette. you can do this by tweaking how the pieces of fabric are joined and the shapes of the pieces, especially the edges

you sure can, which is what designers do, but you can't eliminate drape between the knees because the space between the knees expands when you walk and there has to be fabric there to expand with it or you will be unable to walk properly.
