It's no shave November.

How do I into beards? I've never even tried to grow one before. I'm single and bored, so that seems like the right thing to do.

after a week maybe you will feel the need to shave because it will get itchy but dont! just wait it will go away
also for the neck + cheekline, dont shave too early that just looks tryhard. see in the beginning you will look like you havent shaved in a while, thats fine, maybe you were busy. by shaving the neck or check you define it yourself as a beard which will look pathetic at this point so wait more
depending on your facial hair, you may start saying you have grown a beard if it actually starts to look like it, maybe after a month?
dont do any crazy styles of your list, they always look fun on a chart but will make you tip your fedora when tried irl
