Hey /fa/,

I'm quite new to fashion. Since last year I have completely changed my wardrobe and still I feel there's so much stuff I need to cop before reaching the level of the average user.

In the last year I have been able to determine with greater ease what is it that I want in my clothes. As a consequence of this development, I have been feeling more and more the need to modify certain pieces of clothing or even create my own.

There are times I know exactly what I want, but I just can't find it in designer fashion or elsewhere. Has anyone else felt that? And what have you done about it? Do you have your clothes modified by tailors you trust? Do you even create new clothes with the help of such tailors? And how do you exactly do that?

Whoever has some spare time and is into such things, please respond, I'm genuinely interested.

You're doing something wrong if your basic bitch tier is composed of a million pieces.

>There are times I know exactly what I want, but I just can't find it in designer fashion or elsewhere.
>Has anyone else felt that?
Absolutely. I'm surprised you're new to fashion. The fact that you know what you're looking for says a lot of good things about your current mentality. Shows you have vision, you see clearly how you want to look.
And what have you done about it?
Honestly I usually just wait. This works out for me because the garments I imagine are usually pretty simple.
I've wanted a dark green parka for years and none I found matched the fit and detailing I imagined but I just kept looking. Eventually I found the Fjallraven Greenland Parka and knew it was exactly what I was looking for.
Same thing has happened with a few other articles I own.

Do you have your clothes modified by tailors you trust?
I haven't but I definitely would. I've considered some cut and sew options for a few sweatshirts/jackets I own.

Do you even create new clothes with the help of such tailors?
Getting this done at a laundromat/tailor might not work out for you, but I'm sure there are a few more focused tailors around your area. Here we have a small tux rental and retail shop that does a pretty good job.
And how do you exactly do that?

Chances are if you go back enough you'll eventually get to bro out with your tailor about the dope sleeves you attached to your bomber or w/e. If they've made clothing their career they'll probably appreciate your thoughtful approach to it and you'll have something to talk about.

Nigga buy yourself a sewing machine.
You won't be able to do everything you want of course, but at least all your pants will fit exactly how you want...
That's what I did
