I want some leather boots or shoes, preferably boots with the following qualities

completely black; no contrast stitching, no dissimilar sole colour, black.

Flat RUBBER Soles. not too thick, not too much gain on the heel, absolutely flat front to back. (sunken heel)

some exceptions can be made (pic related) if done tastefully.

Perhaps you should just buy any boot whose upper fits you well and then just have them resoled? The sole is negotiable with a good cobbler, but the other stuff isn't and if those are your sticking points, then just deal with the sole later.

I looked through some ebay soles, almost none of them show the profile. even the vibram site, just tons of images of the bottom.

are there other terms aside from crepe or 'flat' I could use? flat doesn't always translate to reduced heel, and I don't necessarily need crepe.

I'm probably on my own from here on, thanks for the suggestions though.

thanks, that's doable.
I can paint the sole
and change the laces.

here's my other thought, taking something like these and buffing the nubs on the boot down myself
the only problem is with the boots I currently own the rubber sole has stitches on the bottom of the rubber between the nubs, I'm worried if I buff the nubs down I could damage this thread and ruin the boot.

my boots are fryes, I'd do this to some cheaper timbs. they might not have the same construction.
the other bigger problem is that I'd be altering my step and possibly hurting my back by not taking equal amounts off the heel to the toe.

thanks, I definitely like the first more, actually a combination of the grenson with the sole of the yuketen
I'm going for more of an urban vibe so highly visible grain and moc toe style is more of a heritage style imo.

black moccasins are a bit hybrid-ish imo. hard to call them strictly heritage with a colorway like that; besides the fact that moccasins have a weird place in western 'heritage'. but I can see how it's not particularly urban, in a sense

what's the reason for your requirement about the sole? do you feel that heels are somehow aesthetically wrong for what you're aiming at?

I don't know how to explain it, but any sort of elevated heel, or nubs in the sole, in my mind clash with an outfit with a truly modern and urban outfit. I still like the aesthetic of a boot, it's professional and utilitarian. not too lustrous but also not too 'grainy'

I don't suppose an elevated heel has any place in a concrete environment, and it's also just not as comfortable.
I still want it to be lace up, though.

slimmer pants also pronounce that heel, the focal point bothers me. I want the minimalism of the rest of my outfit to be coherent with my shoes and vice versa.

>>7170285
are you truly, truly implying, that by some magical and invisible mechanism, a lack of material between an elevated heel and the rest of the sole supports your heel differently?

sneakers have no separate elevation, and they happen to be pretty popular for three or four decades now.

I'm not asking for no sole, I'm asking for a flat sole. whether there's a half inch sole, or a three inch sole, thickness was never part of the description. I'm asking for the bottom of the shoe to have no break in linearity between the toe and the heel.

>>7170291

>I'm asking for the bottom of the shoe to have no break in linearity between the toe and the heel.

This is actually pretty uncommon. Even the flattest last and trimmest sole will almost always account for the natural roll and arch of a foot and result in a slightly raised back heel. The only consistently flat-bottomed styles will be simpler pieces of footwear like sandles and espadrilles. This is going to be pretty hard to find. I'm a pretty anal retentive shopper myself, but this seems a little over the top, even to me.
