i really wish /fa/ had a knowledgable /interior design/ board

or at least a sub board

this is above my bed,
next to it is the fish tank and items on a dresser to one side

on the other side sit 4 altuzarra cups (will be pictured)

want to know if it's aesthetically pleasing

at the desk is a fractal define r3 case with a 3.0usb retrofit with a lone black authentic eames task chair

25, none

the main tank, which is a highly modified fluval chi

it has a canister filter, led light strip to replace the weak one and some other shit like a co2 diffuser now

Wowweeewowow. Do you play the guitar, sieg. I guess you play guitar, because I can see two guitars in your pic. I didn't know you were so talented.

dude if they have authentic eames at a marshalls ill buy them the fuck out

i liked the chi's orignal water feature but i'd have to pull any "real" plants out of it to sustain life

which kinda sucks

the purigen, and bamboo charcoal in the cansiter filter > so much better but less purdy

couldn't you have gotten better looking guitars instead of strats? Jaguar, 335s, etc...

2 is excessive, but not too tacky for a 25 yr old in your life situation. Neither is grow tank or canvas print. Not unique, but not bad.

there's no way you have all those worthless degrees you're always on about if you're 25. do you lie about the degrees or your age?

the living tanks look pretty good. id say the rest is kinda lame. lighting needs work, no discernible design scheme. also guitars dude? what are you some 40 year old in a mid life crisis?

get a subscription to dwell or architectural digest. gain ideas, use the same aesthetic learning curve you applied to fashion. look for impressions caused by certain features, develop what youre going for, specialize from there. unlike most fashion, interior design has the potential to not cost a shitload with a little creativity, especially if you can DIY.

nope, i graduated high school at 17, worked a full time job until i was 18

while going to a community college for basic education, and certificate earning electives (welding, CAD, six sigma, graphic design) with the help of a very very good counselor

my first under graduate degree, was obtained at 21, the last at 23. my mba was already in progress when i got my political science BA.. not too impressive.

if i could i would do it over again, as you can tell i was one of those kids who always changed majors and never knew his place in college, and it shows now in "real life"

i have a shit life, tbh
no halloween parties, never got drunk in college etc.

>yfw tripskank will most likely have her master's program squared away this time next year, she's way smarter than i was at that age.

>>7119681
vintage herman miller, not so much anymore, they make reissues out of subpar materials, like plastic instead of fiberglass etc

wood veneer that was never avalible during the eames line

but the new stuff is cool too, design addict hipsters on that forum won't give you steeze points though for new shit

pic related, my only friend

he's saying that it just floats on "heritage" and no longer produces anything worthwhile today. and it's just something people with no taste "just buy" because thats what they're told to buy when they get a little bit of money. common criticism of rolex watches today

while that may be true
i believe that having a vintage ferrari, vintage rolex or vintage eames piece shows appreciation of that heritage

exactly what i mean, but i disagree with the heritage thing. maybe if i was in an architecturally significant house designed in high modernist style i could see the theme, but in some shitheads appartment theres no reason not to go with something more unique and appropriate to the design parti.
