It does kind of suck that the lunarcore kids had to go and make him the patron saint of lunarcore. Those are his best fits by far, but he let it get to his head and you can feel a lot of ego in his posts now. I haven't contributed enough lately. I really wanted to see the lunarcore thing rising on its own steam, and so I stopped contributing to it directly. I think that the 'ego' you feel in my posts as of late is a defensiveness that's been brought about by threads like this one. It's either that or a sense of ease that I've grown into - I think of this place as a community, and many of you as my friends.

I don't want to make enemies, but when people put this much effort into hurting me it's very difficult not to respond.

I just want to talk about clothes & style, maybe get a short refuge from the problems in my life.Today someone told me that I treat people kindly because I think I'm better than them. That was the most depressing thing I'd heard in months.

I think you need to bear in mind just how young a lot of 4chan is. I've been active on the internet since I was about 9 years old and most people I know have been too. I started using 4chan when I was 13 and would make shitposts like the OP does here, a lot of the people here are literally children and haven't discovered being kind to other people is the easiest way to be happy. They are utilizing the freest form of expression they know to be wankers because it's something they can do. They'll grow up one day, and if they don't, they'll be the ones in a much worse situation than you or I will ever be.
I think you're a seriously dope and interesting guy and you need to remember that people who want to make you feel bad are children, literally autistic people, or worse.

I would really love that. What I love about 4chan is the way I can discuss the topics I like in a really fast-paced, free manner. The lack of moderation can be a bonus but it does result in a lot more shit than good. People are given the opportunity to say all the shit they generally aren't allowed to (I know I've been tempted to post horrendously rude facebook comments just to see the reactions) but the fact that it's so common means it has almost non impact and only serves to hinder real discussion.

Well said, I feel the same way, but lately I'm at a major crossroads in my life and I find the negativity starting to wear on me.
I'm about to make some major changes in my life, and it's quite frankly a bit scary.
Shit, I guess this all serves me right for using 4chan as an anchor. I've always felt more at home here than in any other community but lately it seems to just be making me sad.

The upside is that I've met some wonderful people here who I hang with IRL. They're amazing people, unlike any I've met in my life, and I owe Moot a thank you letter for making our relationships possible.
