How do you guys style your hair? My hair is exceptionally thick and coarse.

No shampoo. Only wash it with conditioner every 3 weeks or so. Then my hair is all weird for like 2 days before it normalizes. Otherwise I just wash it with water when i shower about once a day. I hate to be that guy, but no-poo really works.

The thing is everyone calls every short back and sides a HY, but a short back and sides is a classic mens cut that's extremely flattering to masculine bone structure. /fa/ bastardized it because of their typical inability to look at something and not try to group it into some arbitrary group to make it easier to understand.

i started seeing the HY thing pop up on /fa/ a few years ago, before it was a common popular thing. i mean you saw it on some people but not on everyone like you do nowadays

if i remember correctly, the original HY cuts that were posted here were always very close to actual HY cuts, with pretty much the shortest sides possible. i believe that as this reached popularity, it became a little more tame (with a normal fade and shit) but people kept calling it the HY because that's what it was previously called

My hair is beginning to recede. I'm going the barbers in about half an hour, going to ask for a short back and sides with an 8 (2.5cm) on top.

Is this a good idea? I'll buzz it in a few years when It gets too bad.
