I buy a pair of Bloch ballerinas every season and walk a fair bit. They're a bit expensive ($150) to throw away so quickly but I completely wear out cheaper pairs within a few weeks or stop wearing them because they lack support. They have leather soles so they might not be the best choice, but they stand up to a good deal of pavement-pounding. They're really TTS as well.
