It isn't such simple question as age. To me I think this depends on what's being worn. If it's just the shirt and jeans and the shirt doesn't have tails, then keep it untucked. If the shirt has tails then tuck that shit in. If being layered under a sweater it depends on the colors and if you feel a need to add a slight break in color between them.
