His hair looks good, but damn that Paul Harnden he's always rocking is fantastic.

I tried on a bunch of PH last time I was in Melbourne, amazing stuff, some of the nicest cuts and materials I've seen.

I can't wait to finish my degree, get a bit of money and deck myself out in fucking PH or MA+ or something.

I was touching on some Harnden in IF last week, the bent leg trousers are just incredible and look amazing on the body. The waxed cotton was heavy and lined with cracks, the leather was soft but beautifully distressed and still beefy. A few interesting button up, but none of it merited the asking price, and this is coming from someone who thinks geos are worth retail. Whatever, worth it or not I would pay for the waxed cotton joints if I had the guap and the were in my size. Things were beautiful, and so heavy.

I still think the whole Paul Harnden package is overblown artifice but I dress like a spaceman so I should piss off.

iktf its just that harnden is basically cribbing old patterns and an established look while lunarcore requires exploring new territory

His stuff, like a lot of the artisan designers going around, varies wildly season to season.

MA+ are a bit more consistent at least, but man their leathers and stuff, I'm almost glad I couldn't afford it last time otherwise I'd have blown so much dosh on it.

The place I checked it out at was Eastern Market in Melbourne, amazing gear there. PH jackets are just so comfy and unique, also fit me really damn well which I wasn't expecting, usually a XS. I really appreciate that a lot of PH (and MA+ and Sruli, my favourite "artisan" designers) is actually quite wearable without being head-to-toe. I was in Rick Ramones, Gareth Pugh jeans and just some cheap tee and both MA+ and PH jackets (they didn't have any Rick my size left) looked at home on me.

Those fucking laser-cut unlined leather MA+ jackets man, holy crap. People underestimate how different seeing it all in person is for a lot of these crazy designers.

This is a pretty good point. I actually really like the old aesthetic he's going for, it seeems hit-or-miss for most people, but I'll agree that full retail is pretty steep.

Then again, it depends on the piece. Some of his items have had a lot more work and interesting materials put in to them than others, and handling them in person I would certainly see where I would put my money if I were going to.

I very nearly bought a jacket similar to Pitt's in that image, although cut a bit slimmer and with less buttons. For me though it was just so perfectly fitting and unique, sleeve openings were awesome, it was comfy but sturdy, and would work with everything I owned. But other things I tried were just too costumey, or looked like I was trying too hard to be ultra-vintage or something.
