The silhouette is less fey and elf-like and they usually go for ~100 bucks on Amazon when they're in stock for like ten minutes. I find that Rick's taller footwear works better the less subtle the detailing. I like the idea of the eyelets there, but compare it to the Plinth hikers and the eyelets work much better set into that proportion. Always liked the Mega Creepers (especially under mid-length things and sometimes even under shorts) and they can be scrunched a little, which gives you a little more wiggle room with the styling.

Depends how you wear them. I've got some 10's that I've straight laced them messy, left the top three eyelets unlaced, and have them tied loosely so that I can slip them off and on. That way, you can just let your pant kinda fall into your boot. Tucking them in, lacing all the way up tight makes you look like some edgy militant kind of person.
