Is it possible to find good boots for $150 or less?

Pic not related

>> No.7005565

Already have some desert boots.

"good" as in no zipper, decent quality, will last about a year or so.

>> No.7005587

is zign good for the price? I've been thinking about getting a pair of their boots recently.

then yeah, if you just need good enough quality to last a year then thats pretty easy. docs are fine. you can find something better though if you look around. i got 1000 miles for 150 from a flash sale

Margiela for H&M boots. I have Margiela mainline and the H&M ones are about an 8 qualitywise, if the mainline is a 10.

They come up on eBay for under $200 USD regularly.

Pic is mainline in the back, H&M in the front.

Clarks, Corcorans are a favorite cheap boot once you wear them in. They're old military jump boots.

all the corcorans ive seen were awful but maybe the vintage stuff wasn't. i also hate how they claim ownership to jump boots or w/e

tho vintage/antique combat boots are def a good way to get nice boots for cheap if u know what to show 4

those are guidis but the shape is somewhat similar to midcentury combat boots from europe, and these ones from japan
the american combat boots ive seen are a little more bulbous and club shaped

I like the slimmer shape. Will I not be able to find this in US army surplus stores?

no.

I'm guessing I won't be able to get them for 1/10th the price. :(

maybe. military clothing was rarely standardized, especially during world war 2 when meeting supply meant farming to every available contractor who may not have been using the same lasts, leathers, patterns etc

plus a lot of military antique stores carry euro military stuff too. the ww2 era uniforms were retained in quite a few eastern bloc countries for decades/forever so after ronald reagan personally tore down the berlin wall people found massive stockpiles of em

>>7005685
ww2 era combat boots run like 50 - 200 buxx unless theyre some crazy nazi shit, depending on condition

Probably the cheapest you're gonna find for decent quality boots. Good boots are pretty pricey.

Combat boots are zipperless, decent quality, and will last at least two years for $100.
