It's leather, man. Note that Wolverines are well CONSTRUCTED but the leather isn't like ultra top quality shit. Same quality as the stuff that, say, Palladium uses. Boots are, by definition, shit-kickers, and the older and more well-known the brand (Wolverines, Doc Martens, Red Wings), the more shit they're meant to kick.
