Alright /fa/ its time to get creative.

ITT: attempt to design a fit that goes for a unique style or inspiration. You don't have to go to the lengths that I did (see pic), but try to give a good description of the fit. Possibly include a pic of shoes you would use.

I'm starting this off with a fit that is inspired by conquistadors. The top is a pullover with seams down the very center and from the sides of the collar to under the armpit. The front seam kinda pushes out, to give the shape of those breastplates. This is worn with a button up shirt underneath that's longer than the pullover, so the bottom comes out. The color scheme would be light greys and dark browns. I'm not sure how exactly I would color each garment, but that would be the general colors that I would work in.

I suck ass at drawing, but I hope you can get a picture of what I was going for.

Let me know what you think about this idea for a fit, and post your own ideas.

bump

Also feel free post pictures of inspiration for as-of-yet unrealized styles. For example, you could post pictures of medieval European royalty to try and get some ideas for fits.

Third, these are really amateur and rough ideas. The only purpose is to just get ideas out there, and maybe something really interesting will come about. Don't take everything so seriously.

i cant think of a lot of significant bone deficiences that really manipulate shape a lot...
there are a few involving early development to the spinal cord...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neural_tube_defect

and thinking about it now most of the really significant impacts kind of occur during early development
perhaps look into embryology and manipulations regarding that, kind've pivotal in development and lots of things can go wrong.

short of that, salt deficiencies in third world countries but these are starting point if anything.

muscle as far as i know is usually just atrophy that causes sig difference --> fragility.

Ahh man, I get it. I was here.

If you can find them, get in a life drawing course. It'll show you how to actually draw proportions on people.

You're taking the drawing too seriously. You want to get those perfect lines, and the perfect person, but you're getting those perfect lines from your minds eye first.

If you can't find any classes I'll try and summarize how to best do drawing people (I still highly recommend the courses though):

1. Start with how the spine would curve through someone.
2. Do the shoulders, not a line showing where the shoulders are, but a line that would be the top of them.
3. The waist. Pretty easy.
4. A curve showing where the leg rotates in the cuff. Connect with...
5. A line doing the outside of the leg leading into the foot, curving back under the sole.
6. Do other leg. Don't worry about the inside of the leg yet.
7. Torso. Connect to the far side of the shoulder lines.
8. Arms. Do like what you did for the legs, but connect where you drew the shoulders to the outside of the arms.
9. Now the curves of your legs should be the base of the pelvis. Do the inside of the legs.
10. Do a question mark for how the head is pointed. Similar to the hairline from the base of the neck to the forehead.
11. Fill in head.

Now you should have a somewhat comprehensible person. Look at pictures of models sitting. Try and look at pictures with the least amount of clothing on them.

For example: http://www.thirdlooks.com/2013/03/cara-delevingne-in-interview-magazine/

Those pictures of Cara should be a good start. Once you get the base of the drawing, you fill it in with shading, etc.

Thanks for the tips! Do you have any online resources that you could share that might be helpful?

>> No.6973766

>>6973724

Sorry, the only thing I really have is:

http://www.posemaniacs.com/thirtysecond

It'll help you get the base of your person down faster, and it doesn't matter if you screw up.

Start with like 25 - 10 seconds, 20 - 30, 10 - 1 minute, 2 - 5, and then finally 1 - 10. Do this like everyday.

It's hard to explain, but practice really makes perfect. Sitting in a studio for 3 hours drawing a naked man really helped my skill. Such is art school.
