Get a card holder

My dream wallet is this Comme des Garçons tartan wallet (either one), but I've never seen it on Yahoo!Japan or the like. The new Junya Watanabe collaboration with Loewe have some nice wallets, might snatch the blackwatch/denim one, if I can find it.

Like the look of card holders but feel that they're more suited to wealthy, accomplished businessmen than undergrads. Thoughts?

Putting that much in a wallet will wear it out much quicker. Depending on the wallet and which pocket you carry it in can also fuck up your cards.

I can think of 3 of the cards I don't need on a weekly basis, doesn't change that I would like to have them on me for when I need them.

I have a bally leather one I got when still in highschool. Gets the job done, still looks breddy gud. I'll probably buy a new one when this wears out.

Coin pouch in wallet is effay

I don't change wallets, but if I'm wearing something besides jeans, i put the wallet in my front pocket. I saw recently that my wallet had been making a ring on the back pocket of my chinos (from sitting on it) and now my pants look fucking horrible.

Here's my wallet and I love it, and this is how I made it.

take any black or brown leather wallet, draw whatever design you like. Then take a wood burner and etch the design in it will blacken and burn the leather to quasi emboss your design into it. Also it will age very well. I do this with many types of leather things. I have a belt done as such.

oh and i monogramed the inside.

I have loads for some odd reason.

Out of all my wallets these four are the ones I use most:

Top left: Time/System passport wallet for travelling.

Top right: 80's Porsche Design, for if I want to carry a shitload of cards with me.

Bottom left: The one I use most often, is a nice daily size.

Bottom right: One of those folding flappy magic wallets by Fred de La Bretoniere, for maximum thinness.

Depends on what you want with the wallet. Cut two rectangular pieces of leather, 4x2.5 inches or whichever size you want. Cut another rectangular piece, 4x2 inches. Poke holes along the sides of all three leather pieces evenly spaced. Take some industrial grade thread and pull it through the holes tightly, tie it, trim it.

Comme des Garcons make some of the nicest wallets around. Clean, simple, good quality and a nice range of styles. The last thing you want is some big ugly logo on the front of it, or a shitty pattern.
