Can somebody please explain what angle people are coming at new balances from? Like, what kind of /fa/ person/subculture embraces these shoes? Just curious, because I mostly associate them with fortysomethings who live in Vermont and like granola a lot.

I actually have the same exact question, OP, but I'm not a big enough asswipe to starte a whole new thread about it. I suggest dumping a bunch of NB pics to turn this into a newbalance thread instead of just a single man fuccboi thread.

I want the grey (are these 574's?), and a pair of black roshes too, but then I realised my shoes would be black(puma suede), black(roshe), white(chuck high) and grey(NB), and while that's fine and versatile and all, I would like a blue pair of shoes too mix in too. Plus I'm thinking of getting the oak street hunt boot, so there's some brown leather, and I have a pair of bean boots. I think some color would be good, but I really do like the look of the grey NB.

I also have taupe and beeswax DB's that I got when I was first getting into fashion (fuck mfa) that I never wear anymore.

they are also used a lot by non-japanese brands that cater to this same sort of look, like norse projects. they're chunky, so they can be swapped in/out for hiking boots in most looks

It's a little too flashy. The best new balance looks are with grey, white etc. Minimalistic.
