I'm totally on board with them being for old dying people, diabetics and dads - I agree, they often suck. But I want to experiment with something deliberately ugly at some point, see if I can put it into a different context by pairing it with the right things. I know it could be pulled off with the right colors and shapes. There are some more recent collabs that are probably even easier to work.
