It's mackage and I bought it on end-of-summer sale, so half the price of the Helmut Helmut Lang one I wanted and 1/3 of the price of an actual Helmut Lang one I wanted. Geometric enough to be interesting, plain enough to work with any outfit, will age well, the "right" branding to live in Toronto.

yeah, leather jackets are one of those things where you pretty much don't want to spend less than $500, unless you get some sort of ridiculously good sale. It's a big commitment to get a leather jacket. That's also why some people hate on them, they don't look good on people who are just trying them out, seeing if they work into their style. Because nobody is willing to spend $500 on "just trying it out". So people buy shitty knock offs instead.

You shouldn't get a leather jacket until you'e absolutely sure you know that it fits with your style, and how you can wear it without letting it wear you.

I...don't know. It looks like it is, not that there's much to go on, there are only 2 blurry pictures. Judging by the price and considering it's not artificially low to stimulate bidding (only buy it now), and doesn't appear to be vintage, I would say that no, it probably isn't. You know the rule, if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't. £60 for a quality leather jacket is too good to be true.

I'm not sure what brand it is, but you could do some more research into it.

Artificial leather or genuine leather tends to look terrible after a year or two. The plastic coating on the top bubbles or peels off or there may be fraying at the edges and needle holes.

There may also be outgassing from the vinyl for the first month or so and it will smell like a paint booth, even if it doesn't smell in the store. All you can do is hang it outside and wait for the outgassing to end.

I have a vinyl bomber jacket I bought because it was cheap ($30)and it fit well. It took about 2 months for the outgassing to stop. About a year later there is some cracking on the back collar area and slight roughness where creases form on the inside of the elbow. I figure it has another 6 months of regular use before I need to trash it.

My leather jackets last alot longer but $30 for something that fit great and lasted 1-1/2 years isn't too bad.
