guys, I think I dun goofed. Before I came over to /fa/ I was really into leather jackets, so I got a job, made some good money, and bought a toj 2010 double rider in brown lamb.

I know how to, and that I can pull it off at least in the eyes of normal people, I know how to wear it and stop it from wearing me.

I would, however, take constructive criticism into account. I know /fa/ hates on leather jackets. Especially brown.

But black just isn't really my color, I've got blonde hair brown eyes and, hell, I just really like brown, I think it suits me. And I really like the cut of the 2010 DR, although I think it might have been easier to pull off if I'd gotten the bomber or the flight jacket. but damn, I was lusting over it and had the funds.

Did I fuck up, or does this fall under "buy what you like".

Also, my opinion is that leather jackets can be fantastic if you know what you're doing. Do you agree or disagree?

from what I've seen, /fa/'s stance on leather jackets is "autism" and "fedora-core", and that black is the only viable color.

I agree with both on some level. If you don't know squat diddly doo about fashion and you put on an ill fitting faux leather jacket, a pari of sunglasses and a toothpick, you are going to look like a halloween costume. But I do think that well fitting ones made of good material on the right outfit can be great.

I also see how black could be seen as the superior color, especially given /fa/'s avante-garde/gothninja tendencies. I happen to like brown more, but I've seen people shitting on brown a lot, especially when it comes to leather jackets.

A big part of the reason I'm posting here is to figure out if ToJ's are actually good quality, I have no reason to believe they're not, but I want to hear /fa/'s opinion.

I have a color coordination question.

If I wear only black pants and white shirts and back or white shoes, then what color should my hoodie be? I may wear a jacket over it so my choices are black, light gray, or dark gray.

If I pick black I'm afraid the break between the top and bottom won't contrast enough and it'll look silly. So I'm not sure if dark gray will have that same problem. Light gray on the other hand won't contrast with the shirt as well and may make the outfit look like a hodgepodge of grayscale if that makes any sense. (I could get navy but I don't want to have to coordinate the jacket color with it.)

in the way i put it together it's no problem to move properly. getting it off over the heel is a bit hard because it obviously doesn't have stretch material like most slim jeans but it works.

I know this probably isn't the best place to ask this but since you guys spend tons on nice clothes I think there might be more relation here.

I'm extremely into music and music production (as much as I can be without really high end equipment) but I simply need some decent entry level tools to get started, which is likely going to cost me upwards of $500. The problem is, I'm staying with family who aren't really struggling to keep us stable, but don't have the money to splurge on things they enjoy themselves. My question is would it be selfish for me to make this big purchase even though I've been trying to get it all for a couple of years? I did work and save for the money and I'll have around $400-500 left over to help with / pay for anything more important if I need to.
