abercrombie sweaters are funny, they look really good minus the branding, however they're itchy

costumey

but id rock that bitch

i have a few heavy knit 100% cotton ones from H&M that i use as "beaters" / the adult version of a hoody

What are some other good cardigans? I'm looking for something in dark green. Any ideas?

I've been on the hunt for a good cardigan, but have really only seen navy.

Here's a nice one I found similar to your OP photo. Plus Bonobos is fucking awesome.

Very nice. I'm going to keep looking around, but I'm definitely going to make that a 'maybe'. Thanks man. Anyone got any other nice cardigans?

Folk, Innervallen, Thom Browne, Tender Company, Warehouse, White Mountaineering, and Inis Meáin all make fantastic knitwear in terms of cardigans, give them a look.
GRP also has Green Shawl Knit Cardigan that's very nice, not dark green, though a little more versatile in my opinion.

does the overall shape of the garment not imply that it's for women?

I own multiple items from White Mountaineering, and I've owned items from Folk in the past. Why all the anger friend? I'm just speaking from my personal experience with all the brands at various shops and my own purchases, I don't see why you're so angry.
Inverallan in particular aren't really a high fashion brand, they're a scottish label dedicated to high-quality knitwear, they're known like that for a reason, and Inis Meáin are also a traditional Irish Knitwear label.

I like Bonobos but $138 is a lot for a relatively thin cotton that is going to sag.

I have some decent wool shawl cardigans from Polo, Vince and Ben Sherman (the last one was a pleasant surprise). Maybe check those labels.

I can vouch for Thom browne cardigans, they aren't thick but damn they work for keeping warm.
