When I had a lot of acne, was overweight, had bad style, and an ugly haircut people found me creepy, ended conversations as soon as possible, ghetto people tended to try intimidate me more often, I've been given looks of disgust and questioned more often with suspicion, and you can feel everyone judging you. Now it's the complete opposite and although it might be because of the new confidence boost and more positive outlook on life, I'm sure being good looking has a good part on better treatment. People actually initiate conversations with me now, I get random smiles at now, when I ask for favors people just do it instead of keep asking me what it's for and etc, and I feel like I get better customer service overall. Also people don't randomly get up and move to different seats on the bus as often.

There's a certain phenomenon (I forget what it's called) where people subconsciously attribute positive qualities like intelligence or honesty to attractive people. Basically, if two people give you advice - an unattractive and an attractive person - you're more likely to believe the attractive person because you unknowingly attribute more wisdom or intelligence to them. So yes, in that respect, attractive people DO have it easier.

Having said that, though, attractiveness or "physical perfection" is a little overrated in our culture. If a person does simple things like staying somewhat fit, brushing their teeth regularly, and keeping a decent (and clean) haircut, then someone (often a number of people) will find them attractive.

Still though, it's a major network). Not as a cameo, the whole video is focused on only her and the singer.

Walking down the street with her is surreal, because guys really will make comments as they pass, or do double-takes. I went to a water park with her once. You can imagine the stares she got in her bikini.

Anything she says in a conversation is lauded as being funny, or clever, or insightful. Everybody goes out of their way to do favors for her. When she leaves a room the conversation automatically shifts to how "unbelievably hot that girl is."

Am I jealous? Sure. I'm not gonna lie. It's tough being the ugly best friend. Doesn't do much for my self-esteem, either. Do I resent her for it? Absolutely not. Despite her beauty, she was poor and mistreated as a kid, and since she has blossomed she has remained humble and is a genuinely good person. She deserves everything she has.
