I have thick hair and my usual hairstyle is beginning to be a pain in the ass because it looks like shit after a week from getting cut due to me hair being so thick and being really difficult to style nicely as a result.

I've been playign around with this kind of style over the last few days and I think I'm going to commit to it, but I don't know what kind of product to use, the stuff I have from when I used to have my hair a certain way it too hard and it doesn't work at all.

I basically just want to to freely fall on my head but to stay pretty much in place but have a matte looks to it as well so I can mess it up at the top.

tl;dr - what kind of product do I need to achieve hair like the pic related

pic related is pretty much the exact cut I used to get but the sides were much shorter but tapered out at the top in the same way.

hair wax is what you need. add a little hairspray if you want it to look more like the middle pic

i think their hair is more fine than yours if yours is super thick

idk man i have fine ass hair, it's such a pain in the ass but it looks more like the guys in your picture than anyone with thick hair i've seen

the hair itself is kind of fine imo there's just a fucking lot of it so it looks dense and voluminous, so far having my hair down looks better than having it up, while it's long it's impossible to get any definition.
