I gave you a lot of advice about colors. In retrospect you were appreciative that I was giving advice but I feel you don't really understand how uninformed you are.

If someone gives you advice about working and you say "I recognize the problem you're talking about, I should lose weight if I want to look good but I'm happy being fat," you come off as a pretty down to earth person comfortable with your flaws.

But when they advise you to lose weight and you say "but I'm not fat I just have wide hips and my clothes are loose" as your justification for not following advice you come off as childish and insecure.

I think we have different definitions of the word "fat" Some people on here think if you don't look like a hungry skeleton or incredibly lean you are fat. I usually try to mention that I'm working out but I didnt this time. I did mention it on one my posts further down. I'm not okay with my body and and wasnt trying to say my body was fine the way it is or even defending it, just saying "hey, it might look this way because of X" like someone who mentions that they are really short or that they have a stumpy torso. We can try to hide these flaws but it might help to see what they need help with.

bag is legit hideous, the red's too bright for the brown leather
fit on the shirt is good, pants are alright but the taper's so severe you really need to step up your ankle game. the shoes you've got on here don't really cohere with the pants. They're chunky but in the wrong way

with such a dramatic taper you either want something that continues the taper, something really slim and sleek, or something chunky that ties high enough up your shins where the pants aren't as slim to smooth out the taper

right now your shoes are in a terrible limbo of chunky and short, just these big block things at the bottom of a fairly sleek silhouette. So just go with some nice high tops or some slim plimsolls or something similar.

where you are now you just need to learn how to pair colors. Also stop using the term 'match' in terms of palettes. That's some ISP homepage infographic MFA shit. When choosing colors you want contrast and the hardest part is learning how much.

What I advise you to do is create a fashion folder and save any fits you look good. Don't save them until you've thought about every single piece of clothing pictured, what color it is, and what colors are paired with it.

You'll develop an inner catalog of good color combinations

ex:
Dark green with light muted orange
Navy with light gray
Maroon with off-white, cream


I could go on forever. I enjoy this shit. I like colors. We can't really teach that. Just has to be learned. As someone who used to dress like shit, I can tell you that it's possible to do on your own. I didn't even post fits on /fa/ until I was happy with my competence. The fact that I got to /fa/'s level of acceptance without /fa/'s help means you can too learn it on your own.
