Hi /fa/

I'm going to a job interview in a couple of hours and learned that the dress code included jackets a couple of minutes ago. Will this fit work? I hope it's at least decent because the only fit I have that might even be close to OK...

>> No.6783552

Ugh I guess it'll do in a pinch but I detest those chinos. Have you not got any suit trousers? What shoes are you wearing?

>> No.6783585

What job is the interview for?

>> No.6783588

You'll be fine but I also dislike those pants. I'd wear gray trousers with that.

I do, those who came with the jacket. But the suit is black which I'm afraid will be too formal.

A traniee job at a ITC firm.

>>6783588
Unfortunately I don't have any. And I ruined my beige chinos last month :/

I'll take my black dress shoes that'll match with the belt and the jacket.

>> No.6783709

Don't worry OP, you look fine. Looks somewhat casual, yet "dressed". So don't worry. Do you know what dresscode they have there?

>> No.6783765

dadcore af...i want to say mfa-tier, but even they dress better than this...

Post a fit with the full suit. Black is fine for a job interview, as long as the style is right

>> No.6783798

I would hesitate to use a black jacket with anything other then the matching trousers or gray trousers. I would not wear a black belt and black shoes with those trousers, do you have anything appropriate in brown or burgundy?

Given the choices I would wear the suit trousers and I would consider wearing a tie, to me a black suit with no tie is too much of a mismatch.

>>6783798
No, I'm afraid that it's either the chinos or the suit pants.

>>6783794
Ok one sec! I think it'll look too dressy tho...

Do you have any other jackets in maybe navy or gray? Black is almost never right. And do you have any shirts with a different collar instead of a button-down? And as others have posted, brown (preferably dark) shoes and a belt would be better. And where's the tie?

Basically, it's a horrible outfit, but then again you're like 19-20 so maybe they won't mind...

Can I wear chinos as they were regular pants? So, like not folding up the ends.

Nope, my first and only jacket atm. My economy isn't that good right now... Only got one tie, a purple paisley. Yea I hope so too. Good guess on the age, I'm 19. :)

Understandable. And yeah, don't wear the tie. I really recommend getting a gray (the darker the more formal) or a navy suit next. You can match both with a light blue shirt and a navy tie. That's a basic combination that almost always works.
