I bought a shirt from VTB and when it arrived in the mail I damn near had a breakdown. I kinda had this realization that I just spent 75 dollars on an asymmetrical t-shirt. I kind of had this flashback to a buddy of mine who was Buddhist and he really practiced what he preached when it came to materialism and decadence. But then, I realized that this is almost cathartic. Being able to spend 75 dollars on a shirt is incredible, and I became much more thankful of the world around me for the next few days.

My first pair of decent raw jeans were some N&F Weird Guy Highs I copped for $70 on Gilt. When I got them, I was surprised to learn that they were non-selvedge, and that Weird Guys usually run a size bigger than the label. I was going to return them for a size smaller, but decided not to. For the first 6 months or so, they had horrible diaper-butt and I felt really self conscious about it, but after a year and a few soaks, they fit fine and look way better.
