You can find a lot of info on 4chan that is wonderful, /fa/ offers up a lot of great information. But over all, you need to learn how to take that information and turn it into something that works for you.

In other words, don't read everything and expect it to be exactly right for you. Really use the information from here as a platform to learn more independently.

Outside of that, it is a great place to get some understanding of brands, construction, and sometimes fashion world gossip.

Lots of people post here that aren't the typical highschooler who is just starting out, you just need to figure out for yourself which posters on here are the ones worth listening too, and which ones aren't worth listening too.

And perhaps even down to "this person knows a lot about this, but his/her opinion here isn't as solid".

TL;DR take it all with a grain of salt, but use that grain as a start to independent thought.

Personally, I feel like whoever you are telling to post the fit has no chance of coming out ahead.
I haven't been reading the thread, since it does not appeal to my interests (clothes? you fucking serious) but regardless of the fit he posts, it will get shit on even if hypothetically was good.

it's very rare for someone to post a fit pic and get 100% positive feedback.

But he's model-quality in his face. Because of that, nobody shat on him. If the person told to post a fit was average or different-looking, /fa/ would nitpick and say everything he posts is void because he's not "perfect."

/fa/ gets beat on a lot and maybe it's not the greatest fashion board on the internet. But it did get my interested in fashion, and for that I owe it! I don't think /fa/ is a great fashion board but I DO think it is a good starting fashion board.

Besides there are still some interesting threads now and again.

If he posts a fit there's nothing we can really say. Even if it's a shit fit -which is somewhat subjective - if he's comfortable with his style that's all that counts, because /fa/ just shits on anyone. But the thing is that you need to post a fit to assimilate as a trip or namefag, especially when you're talking like you "know" shit, and not because you need to prove anything to anyone but because you need at least a scrap of credibility. i.e. we need to know you aren't a fat ass. But that's asinine. Posting a fit just so one can have a tripcode? And what did that accomplish? Keeping tabs on someone, and then pulling their worst picture out of some file that someone saved it in so they can whip it out to say "You looked shit in this pic back then." Im sure there's someone that has kept tabs on every person here. I mean, look what /fa/ did to Denim Dan. Someone kept tabs on him incase he/she disagreed with him at a later point.
