But why need to spend so much money?

>> No.6638148

>>6638135
value is determined by how much people are willing to pay for it

for fashion people, that's their hobby and their passion, so they'll spend money on it. it's the exact same thing as a car nut buying a lambo instead of a honda civic, or a computer guy making an ultra high spec pc instead of a cheap factory one

Exactly this. I have a fairly shitty laptop that's going on five years old with 2GB RAM, no car, in need of a new external HDD, still haven't bought nice headphones after years of wanting them, etc., but I spend thousands on shoes and accessories.

>tfw spent nearly $4k this summer and about to spend another $1000 on glasses
>tfw $1000 can buy retardedly nice headphones
>tfw 4TB HDDs are <$150

It's all about prioritizing. Some of my friends prioritize video games and shit like magic the gathering. Some people prioritize drugs, alcohol, and partying. I prioritize clothes and sit at home in fits with eyewatering pricetags while my friends go out and drink.

>>6638222

God damn how new are you? We could all be wearing Timex watches and $200 fits and still be the "fashionable" people in our social circles. It's not about function.

>>6638235
I have only one friend who doesn't talk shit about my spending, and it's because he spends just as much on Magic. He recently made a deck with only foil (holographic?) cards just for fun, and it ended up being almost a thousand dollars.

It's in the Galleria. They opened not too long ago.

If you've got the coin (or are just curious) stop by sometime. I'm a regular there. Ask for Lisa, she's the best.

I almost exclusively go to Galleria now, only stopping by Tysons 1 if I need some cheap tees or something. Where in Galleria is it?

And what the hell is with them moving everything around? First Coach, then Burberry, then J Crew split and renovated, and now Cartier is closed for a few months.

Zilli is on the middle level next to Ralph Lauren.

Coach underwent renovations and had a temporary store in the meanwhile. Burberry vacated its old lot to make room for the new Cartier Flagship store that is opening in late October. J Crew finished opening its mens' store before closing the main store for renovations. Porsche Design opened this past Saturday on the lower level next to Coach. Prada is supposed to be coming at some future point. Jimmy Choo might be taking the vacant lot next to Louis Vuitton.

Zilli replace James Clothiers. It has the same ownership as before. The leases in Galleria are outrageous and many of the bridgewear stores can't hold down their lots during the weaker retail months.

$200 is perfectly reasonable for a jacket, you shouldn't be paying any less.
