The point is the only Audi anywhere near worth it's weight in dollars is the R8. And it is over priced for what it is.

The s5 is 4klb 300hp hunk of shit with no racing heritage. You can get a 335i for 20k less or a 1M for the same price and 1M will stomp an s5 into the ground.

Then they say, but I'm not looking for performance. Then why the fuck would you buy a "performance" coupe? When you can get an actual grand touring or luxury sedan for just a little more.

heritage is important in car manufacturing. r&d is largely based off racing budget and racing innovation. That's why they all do it. They only sell cars to make money to race.
