Nigga, nobody but Bay Area hypebeasts have cared about BAPE since like 2007 at least. That shit is ugly, and even the current crop of black youth know that. BAPE wasn't only a trend for it's own shit between like 2005-2007. But it also sparked other fashion lines to start selling ugly ass imitation BAPE clothing that followed their pattern styles.

It is to emulate the prison lifestyle. In prison they had one size, or few sizes. So most will get baggy pants. Also belts are banned for it being a possible murder weapon. So when these jokers got back, they sticked to this style to show everyone how cool they were because they were in prison.

Also i noticed that most poor people in history had loose fitting clothes, probably due to lack of tailoring. Maybe that just sticked.
