Destroyed deerskin is GOAT, but goat is pretty great, too. I hope you really love these. They're really fantastic sneakers and work in so incredibly well. Only thing I'd say is watch out for the laces and try to not let them rub and tear too much because it's a bitch to find replacements.

It's lightly distressed out of the box, yes. These are photos of used pairs, so they're obviously more broken down, but certain runs of the deer and goatskins have been pre-distressed. The pig leather and pig suede versions are usually left as is.
