How do you guys breaking in leather jackets? I just bought new Schott perfecto leather jacket and i keep wearing it all the time. Even when im not outside. Its starts feeling more and more comfortable every day. Is there some secret tricks to speed up this?

Don´t do this unless you want it smaller.

Honestly, the only thing is to wear it more.
I sped up the breaking in process of my doctor martens by polishing them a extra few times, which softened the leather up a bit more. But I don´t think that´s something you could do with a jacket. And even then the gains are minimal.

wear them while you shower

put them into the fridge when they start to smell

by burning it because leather jackets are for fucking autists

thats the pt. perfectos are suppose to be snug as fk. you want to shrink it to mold it into your body

Is this cause any problem to the leather? I dont want it to crack or anything. And i think natural rain is better solution, because leather moist slower and you have to wear it till its dry anyways so its more comfortable to do outside.

no, most quality leather can take a bit of water without any effect on it, but at the same time you don't want it to get soaked

there was a guy who put his CCP leather jacket in a washing machine and it shrunk, you should go read that thread, it might help

naaah only want a little shrinkage, afraid to fuck it up too

You only get a little shrinkage from washing it.

What happens to a larger extent is that washing can remove shine from leather and give it a bit of a rugged/warped look.
