I was fat, short, 16, and fashionably retarded. /fa/ helped me a lot, but then I got tall and popular, cynical, and then eventually stopped browsing /fa/, gained weight, got even taller and larger, and now I barely am passable.

before i got here i had my own style and thought i was one of the best dressed in my area (which wasnt much for a suburb, h&m forever21 usually what i was dressed in). Then i came here and started learning about street and goof

Pic far right is my first fit pic posted on /fa/ compared to my fit today.

Tbh only difference is that I just wear more black and do more "streetwear" look. I remember before being obsessed with trying my best to look like the guys I saw on inspo and eventually giving up and finding what I actually like.

Ill-fitting jeans and baggy graphic tee guy. I have less body fat now but was never fat back then (used to be 70kg). Going through my old facebook photos it appears that I was better looking and had more fun before I started browsing /fa/. I don't know if that's because I was drunk in most of the pics, because of the circumstances at the time, or if /fa/ has really made me worse.

I've been tooling around with different styles since I was a small child, from being a wannabe punk at 8 years old to decked out in polo and tommy in the 90's. I never understood fashion, tho. used to be a sk8erfag between age 15 and 17 and dressed like shit tho thought i was ballin. Discovered /fa/ and realized how ridiculous i looked.

lurked for a few months and replaced my wardrobe. Grills be mirnin and wanted me to come with them when they were shopping.

The transformation was now complete. Im a massive faggot.

/fa/ has mostly made me far more self-conscious, but at the same time much more observant of myself and others. I haven't really changed my style because I'm still restricted financially but I don't mind, I look pretty good in my environment.

Before i discovered /fa/ i was concious about what i was wearing too, but it was more parrot like. Way to many colours wich werent mixing at all, to much layering and Graphic tees.

Even though I started improving before i discovered /fa/ this site helped a lot. Thanks to harsh criticism. Moreover /fa/ sharpened my sense of what is aesthetic. Earlier i wouldnt mind if someone was skinny fat or similar.

My style went a lot better . No more colour blocking. I am keeping graphic tees to a minimum. And i i wear some i make sure the rest of the fit is
monochrome so i doesnt seem overcrowded.
Sadly my Budget hardly limits what i would like to cop.

Personally i am now more aware of how people dress and what is aesthetic.
Most really dress like shit. They either dont give a fuck, are tryhard or go hollistercore.

I am harsher in criticism to myself too and i just hate the feeling to leave the house bad dressed.
But I also gained confidence, since i am statisfied with my looks. ( face and body wise) and i am blessed with confidence.

Now i do get complimented more on my looksand got voted best dressed at the end of high school.

Anyway, i still have a long way of improvement to go.

Not much has changed with my style. I naturally adopted heroin-chic by buying purely skinny jeans, black and grey hoodies and black or white t's/vests, a pair of chelsea boots and black plimsoles with a white outer-sole. i wore big ass tony hawk skate shoes, baggy dadcore jeans, anime t-shirts, had a bowl cut, was a manlet...it was bad and i could tell.
i tried changing my look but it was still kinda embrassing. i remember becoming a total hot topic fag and i wore these supper skinny checkered pants, i still have painful memories of those pants, except the girl i liked actually liked them but is till felt like a pleb.
i eventually decided to go on /fa/ after seeing it on the homepage for several years, and i learned a lot.
