Just got a pair of iron rangers and I was wondering how to take care of them.

I grabbed some of the waterproofers in the store but I forgot what the man told me to do.

>> No.6550373

just going to ask here
my 1907 redwing soles have begun to wear down with the heels having lost about a centimeter (with it being maybe 3 centimeter's at start). It's only been a year. Is this something I need to start trying to prevent from worsening? Currently it's not really a problem other than it looking odd when I stare at my shoes directly

this. except i use a little bit of vinegar instead of soap (be sure to wipe it ALL THE FUCK OFF with a damp cloth immediately afterwards) as i find it cuts the grime better. here are my rangers.

red wing general? cool

the first thing on my wardrobe shopping list are a pair of iron rangers just like the ones in OPs pic. they will be primarily used during the colder weathers, so im going to be wearing them with thick socks all the time..

how do i go about the sizing? im normally a size 7.5US on my chucks (yes manlet reporting)

>> No.6550485

>>6550475
oh yeah i forgot to mention, i polish mine.

>> No.6550488

>>6550483
do they make them that small? sizes run slightly large, but less than half size. i thinks its just to accomodate wool socks. order your size.
just warning, they make look rather clowny on a manlet. mine are 12.

alright cool. yeah they actually do stock smaller sizes at nordstrom which is a huge relief

huh, i only heard theyd look clownish if you wear them with skinny trousers/jeans which i am not intending to do.. gonna be wearing them with 511ish fitting PS mostly..

Well I went to the red wing store and the guy said iron rangers werent work boots but he described them as 'going out to the bar' boots

>> No.6550960

>>6550942
theyre aesthetic is based on work boots used some years ago. definitely not work boots but theyre meant to be treated like one (ex. beating them to shit, wearing them with jeans etc etc)

>> No.6550977

>>6550942
pretty much. they're work boots, and you're not a iron miner. and since they're not dress boots they're considered 'jean boots'

Planning to grab some Beckmans off of nordstrom

Do the iron rangers cause Clown Foot Syndrome in the wear? Should I be worried the Beckmans will do the same?

beckmans are the most clownish ones. just make sure you size them right or theyll end up looking like one.

what kind of leather is it? washing certain leathers can completely dry them out and might cause cracking..

>heat leather with hair dryer. make sure it doesn't get too hot
>apply mink oil with fingers. only niggers and faggots apply it with a cloth.
>work the mink oil in by rubbing in a circular motion. you'll know if you've heated the leather right if the mink oil absorbs into the leather and darkens it a little.
>heat the recently mink oil'd part. apply a second and third if need be.
>finish up with the shoe, and then wipe the surface with a polishing cloth. it'll make sure that there isn't too much residue left, which could leave a sticky coat to your boots

Just got a pair of Iron Rangers as well.

Obviously, raw denim would be the go-to pants to go with them, but what kind of lightweight tops would work with them?
