I hate your shading.
you obviously have some talent , but that shading isn't clean enough to be super technical and it just wheighs everything down and obscures the actually good lines you used in the beginning.
that hairyness on the nose is a no go.
I think another shading technique would work better for you.

Aye, they gave me some helpful advice, I've got a load of good reference books too. I'm an anatomy student rather than an art student so trying to replicate what I see is new ground for me. Proportions wise, I think it was okay until I got to the jaw.
