also, just some of my experience. /fa/ is probably the most critical place on the internet because it's cool to hate and everyone's anonymous. the format and norms here mean that you can get some very useful feedback and if you take it the right way you can improve really fast. I try to say useful stuff instead of just calling it shit, and I'm happy that others actually gave feedback too.

but on the other hand it can be really discouraging when people just say "lol its shit" and don't elaborate or anything, and it happens a LOT, even to fits that are unique and interesting. my advice is to just ignore it, because if they're posting 100% shit they're usually never going to say anything useful.
