The only problem with white, as far as bartape goes, is that it will get dirty very quickly so that's why I'm leaning towards switching to a black bartape. Do you think a white saddle paired with black bartape would look pretty decent on the bike?

one of my bikes has black/white marble tape i think it looks pretty cool. the problem is that it looks really grungy very quickly. my other bike is just black which i probably like more.

This is why I'd suggest staying away from white all together outside of the frame.

I think all black everything could look sick as fuck. Don't go yellow for the seat or the bars, your bike doesn't need to look like a highschool prom.

lol well if I could justify an extra G in disposable income to lose a pound (maybe 2) I totally would. I'm a racet but am only a cat 5, using my now old bike up until cat 3 when I'll switch to the Venge.. Honestly I've just always wanted a Venge since I first seen one. The money's right so hey why not? .. I was torn between the Tarmac and the Venge, but ultimately the terrain around here in the midwest is flat as hell and there's always a 20mph headwind. That and.. the Venge looks cooler imo.

everything else is low end, bars were heavy, I ditched their cheap wrap for OURY grips way back when.

the hubs are non-rebuidable, open quando, the chain is low end KMC, the tires are trash, I upgraded to SERFAS seca which are bike store low end shit

I had to rebuild the wheel set and get new tires (gatorskins) before I felt comfortable on that bike, even then the crank arms, bottom bracket, and headset are trash

the specialized allez is a decent bike

people will tell you all day Shimano this shimano that

and "get 105 or better"

however the last groupset I had a 6600 Shimano ultegra setup was a piece of fuck, it was pretty the hollowcore crank arms etc but it's a high maintance little bitch

I downgraded to TIAGRA awhile back after selling everything including the fixie, and down graded the shifters to sora thumb shiters (free from a group ride) and now it's all low maintance reliable socal when the weather is nice workout bike.

this pic is of the state, threw away the trash RADIUS brake for a cane creek SCR-L 3 and a cheapo lever for SS rides. I rigged it with DUCATI superbike wire wrap and a spare cable so the brake was removable for fixed riding

had cheap KNOG lights on it too
