The first wash at 7 months was a machine wash (big mistake). I got pissed that my lightning stacks were reset (they were gorgeous) and they weren't coming back so I just cuffed them.

The rest of the washes were in the tub using any bar of laundry soap I could find at 9 months, 11 months, and 13 months.

Should I size down one more? I already feel pretty tight in them, but I'm afraid that its too loose in the bottom, but the measurement doesn't change much more for n&f anyways. Picked this 22l bag by Visvim after hunting for a few weeks. Made of cordura bound with goretex and super soft elk leather, has all the fun features (modular pockets, weird weight distribution shit, taped seams, etc.) I took this picture fifteen minutes after pouring a gallon of water on it out of curiosity and it slid off leaving no moisture, the water that pooled as you can see still hasn't soaked through the bag yet, pretty neat
