apparently he had juts made a dummy account and then paid somebody legit for something (which sends away the money to someone legits account) and they cant take it from him cause he gave an item. Therefore his acc balance is in the negative but i dont get anything and his acc being in the negative doesnt mean anything cuz its a dummy acc

I always thought that you were screwed if you paid by "gift" and you got scammed.

It's not true though and I wish I had of known this little trick in the past.

It definitely works, because after I thought I was scammed a few weeks ago I did just this and within a couple of business days I had my money back!

For reference my funding source in the transaction was my credit card, which means I had cover from my bank, but this trick should work no martter what.

"Once you have sent the payment and then realize that you have been scammed, click the transaction details tab.

Click on Dispute and then make a claim.

Now you click on : UNAUTHORIZED CLAIM (What this means is that money has been withdrawed from your account without permisson)

Now there is an explanation box suggesting why this may have happened.

Click submit.

Paypal says give it 10 days to refund your money. But they give your funds back today.

Your account will still be verified but now limited. you have to change you Password and security questions to un-limit it."

I got scammed on sufu for something similar (also Rick dunks). However, upon realizing a day later that the person took $500 from several people and told them each that he was going to send to every one of them, we all just opened a dispute and escalated to a claim immediately. We all got our money back from Paypal in a couple weeks and the rep on the phone told me that even if the money isn't in his account anymore, Paypal ensures you get your money back for sellers who don't send. I'm pretty sure OP can do the same.
