Is there such thing as /fa/ cargo pants?

I'm a geology student and need some functional and modern fitting clothes for fieldwork. They need to be pretty rugged and able to carry lots of stuff, handlenses, notebook, pencils, gps, compass, geiger counter, satphone and more. Lots of pockets are a must.

What can you guys recommend?

hi, just ordered these. I'm planning on using them for techwear fits and also for my hospital rotations because I need to carry stethoscope, bp cuff, gloves, notepad etc. it's designed for biking. not that many pockets though.

If you want a lot of pockets, the Crye Precision cargos have.... I think ten, as do Kitanicas.

They also come in black. Like pic related, but the kneepads are optional.

Pretty standard, but the pockets are stuffed and the flap is tucked. Pocket seems to sit a bit high up, fit is good but you could have this done with any old milsurp at your friendly local tailor's.

I think this single pocket design is pinched from an old railroad worker's garment. Leg on this version is curved.

I avoid pockets that are too low. The further they are from the hip, the more it is going to move when you walk and if it has any heft to it it's going to pull at the pants. It's not too bad if there are straps to tighten the fitment around the knee so there is less slack.
