you don't need to spend a lot of money on skin products. stuff like neutrogena is fine. a moisturizer, maybe a toner, a retinol-based overnight cream, and a good sunblock that covers uva and uvb and you're good m8. shit, you could drop the toner and retinol if you want to.

could also add some bio cream or w/e if you have stretchmarks or scarring.

Acne-prone /fa/ggot with clear complexion here.

1: Go to Goodwill, buy like 14 pillow cases. Change it EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Toss the unused one in your laundry bin. Do not use again until cleaned.

2: if your hair can touch your cheeks or forehead, use a hair net while sleeping. Do not pull your hair back; it's bad for it. Keep the stuff that comes in contact with your face relatively clean. Masks, cell-phones, telephones receivers, jewelry, hands, etc.

3: Eat citrus, especially pineapple and grapefruit.

4: No soda. Virtually NONE. N O N E.

5: beaten egg white face masks, followed by egg yolk on areas that tend to get dry from treating. Egg whites are great as wicking oil from the face without being harsh.

6: Wash face with water as soon as you get up, and before you go to sleep. Every morning, every night.

7: Remove all make-up. If you remove make-up with lotion, use hot water to take the lotion off afterwards.

7: take in plenty of antioxidants, fish oil, zinc (hnngh, raw oysters,) fiber and garlic (Not powdered.) Learn to love seafood, it'll treat your skin right. Most lean protein will, in fact. Don't forget nuts and beans.

8: Avoid dairy, coffee/energy drinks, any food or drink that may mess with your hormones (like soy) Steer clear of processed foods whenever you can.

9: shield your face from your hair care products and wash off all make-up removers after removal process. Don't stress your face out by putting a bunch of weird shit on it, either.

10: opt for a parasol and shade rather than sunscreen whenever you can, and don't shy away from sunlight. Lack of sunlight and being trapped in clothes constantly is what makes the ass and thighs notorious for getting pimples.

Because prolonged suffocation of your pores leads to acne (Like sleeping on it or pushing a hot phone against your face)

That blockage can also happen with gunk you get on your face. The hair care products, overusing conditioner, sunscreen, and so on. Your skin needs to breathe to not get blocked up. (No really, it literally breathes. You can kill yourself by covering your body in saran wrap, even if you are able to take in oxygen through th e mouth and nose just fine.) It's essentially a big organ that can go through periods of blockage and can also be detoxified.

Astringents can work from inside your body. They can work from the outside too, in the form of natural or chemical products, but it's much better to just incorporate an astringent into your diet than to simply rub it on your face and reap the benefits temporarily.

Speaking of which, your body likes a dependable schedule and pattern. Quite often are new things perceived by the body as stress initially, even if they are good. Stress leads to acne.

Hormones do too, naturally. Your body is self-regulated, and when you go and throw a wrench in the hormone system all kinds of wacky shit happens to your skin.

Things that are tough for the body to break down get stored elsewhere within it, and it shows in the form of disease, cellulite, dull hair, (fat in general actually) and acne. Your body has a tougher time breaking down steak and a big glass of milk than it does salmon and tea.

I know I sound like a massive hippie, but I don't like to be dependent on products. And things like Proactive and prescribed medication only work while you're using them... Get off them and your skin will go right back to the way it was. Dependency is expensive, and many of these habits have benefits outside of clear skin.

Do not wash your face with soap. The skin on your face is much more sensitive than the rest of your body, and soap is much too harsh for it.

Get a face cleanser. If you have oily skin, use a foam cleanser. If you have dry skin, use a cream cleanser.

There are lots of bottles labelled moisturiser. You just need to find one which works with your skin. For that, Google is your friend.

This is what i mean, i have never heard of a face, foam or cream cleanser. I don't wear makeup. I normally dont use any products. I hate going to these stores, they're filled with makeup and feminine hygiene, i'm so self conscious in there.

Then it's best you do your research.
Cleansers are unisex. It's just stuff that helps get rid of all the dirt and crap off your face and it just helps more than plain water. Most drugstore brands give pretty similar results, so just pick one that you think is nice and try it out.
Foam is just if you have one and when it combines with water it bubbles. Cream just stays creamy until you wash it off.
Don't be self conscious. Not sure where you are located but places like dermalogica do skin consultations and can help you. It's their job to help you man. Otherwise go with a female friend and get her to talk to them and you can chime in or something.
