Had mine since February. From what I can tell shit's sturdy but I doubt it'll hold up to anything past monsoons. No complaints here regarding rain from someone who lives in Hawaii and packs his laptop in sleeveless, so take that what you will. N&F is a good brand to start. Their weird guy fits are the more popular ones, but my body is more suited to the skinny guys. Also, as said earlier just measure yourself and look at the measurements online and try the stuff on yourself. You could be wearing a pair of handmade Momotaros made from the finest cotton and craftsmanship, but if the fit is shit you're going to look bad.

Yeah I have skinny legs as well. My first ever raw denim I owned was an Unbranded 101 and even then I had to taper them just slightly. Also Unbrandeds are a good choice for first pairs of raw denim, they're about half the price of N&F and are owned by the same people. The denim is japanese, but the only difference is that N&F is put together with Canadian labor, and Unbranded put together with Macau labor. regarding the actual shirts themselves (and not the production practices or anything):

the fabric is better quality and this is very noticeable in real life, on internet pictures this may not be clear especially if you don't know much about fashion. the cut is better usually and will flatter your body (unless you're obese), as cheap shirts need to accomodate all body types, since they're sold in large quantities at malls. at higher price points you can also get more interesting or better designed patterns if that's what interests you.

then of course with the avant garde brands they do a lot of interesting things with shirts like zippered collars and whatnot

if you can't justify paying 100+ for a shirt I'd suggest you at laest don't pay 20 for a shirt, go at least to the 60ish range so the quality isn't absolute shit
better to have one decent shirt than three shitty shirts

This OCBD I got is in a slimfit XS and it still seems as though it is too long.

All I had was a webcam to take pictures. The first and second show how the sleeves fit normally. The third shows them pushed up a bit. The forth shows how long the sleeves actually are compared to my arm length and the last picture shows what it looks like from further back. Also, its hard to see the length in the pictures but it goes just below the crotch of my pants.

I'm thinking of taking it to a tailor to get the length and sleeves shortened. Is it salvageable or should I just toss it?
