That's strange to me, because at the lower price ranges (e.g. Macy's, Target, Gap), most of those fits tend towards being straight or relaxed straight because those fit more mainstream American customers. I really don't know how you are having such difficulty.

But if you're not willing to spend to get what you want, then it's also hard to complain that you're not getting what you want.

i spent good two days visiting all kinds of stores looking for a pair of straight black pants because i needed them for work.

i found two pairs in the end and paid what i had to for them because they are something i need for work.

i do like nice clothes, i do like to dress /fa/, but i also know what i think a pair of pants is worth and i will not pay more than i think is reasonable for something. that's all.

Took the cues, for this outfit I gotta say it looks better but I prefer the casual untucked look. Looks eh tucked right now because I haven't ironed it yet, will before tomorrow though.

Looks better. Shirt could still do with some tailoring, but I think you're on the right track. The suggestion is to never spend less than 100 USD on shoes. It may just be the photo. You are fine, there is always something better though. The casual untucked look may be a bit better on a different outfit- this is all just my preference. Tucked in looks a bit cleaner.

I don't think basic fits are bad. It's a good starting point for when you're wanting to get more into fashion before you move onto more complex fits. It helps if everything fits well, you're in shape, and tall. This can be said for most fits, but I think it applies more to basic fits since your outfit isn't really going to speak for itself alone. Can't see the top, but I hope you're wearing a crew neck.
