Are there any tips for an aspiring /fa/-bro on growing his hair out? I'm wondering if I should get trims while doing it or just embrace the awkward.

It'll be at this awkward inbetween stage for a while, but there's no point trimming it, as the point is to let it grow.

most definitely. How long should I expect until I can actually do things with it? 6 months or so?

Very cool, I'd probably end with something like this or some interesting take on a taper + undercut. I just want to see what happens when it really gets long. I have very thick hair that's really straight.

>>6419334
maybe you could pull it back with wax and make a knot with your hair on the top as soon as you can
i saw a model who has similar hair to >>6419321
and had a knot which looked really good

If your aim is a manbun, from memory I couldn't get my fringe into one till it was below my jaw. Not entirely sure how long that'll take to grow, I would think 6 months at least.

i want this hairstyle. what seems essential for this style, i think, is that forehead and hairline shape, coupled with the more pointed nose.

having a low forehead, and a shit round nose, it would look awful on me. though i do have the masculine and strong jaw/chin, i dont think it would ever work

I have a shitty widow's peak, am I fucked?

>> No.6419365

>>6419353
pics?

if it's not that bad, and you otherwise have the essential hairline and forehead shape, i would just suggest plucking the widows peak.

of course, this is assuming it's mild.

if it's deep, i think youre fucked

but post a pic

6 - 8 months most likely.

Depends on your head shape quite a bit.

and by this i mean grab your hand and pull the front of your hairline back, as if you had the hairstyle now...

this is the essential shape... it's recurring in those that pull the look off.

i think your widows peak is not an issue. and, if anything, you could pluck it slightly to make it straighter.

take a side shot of your fake, holding your hair back, again

i think the issue is going to be your hairline. if you are willing, i think you would benefit if you were to adjust your hairline a bit.

can you post a full side pic, instead of an oblique, angled side pic?

I've been growing my hair out for a while now but its also in the inbetween or ugly stage.

I cant quite decide if my hairline will suit a manbun/long hair (going for thor mode if i grow it out enough) seeing as i have a receding hairline.

what are your thoughts /fa/?

sorry for jumping on your thread OP, but id rather not start a new one.

You're doing alright. Don't cop out, whatever you do. Make the most of it while you have it. You may only have a few years left of being able to do this.

thanks. I've got it this far so i dont think i could cut it now.
how would you reccomend styling whilst its at this stage? should i use some product to stick it back? I work as a landscape gardener and so dont really give a fuck what i look like during the week, but it would be nice to look a bit nicer during weekends when im out. I tend to get this side parting going on when i push it back, don't think it looks as good :\

I grew the beard whilst a good friend of mine was in prison (imprisoned wrongly) and now hes out i dont want to lose it. I think it will go well with the long hair.

I'd just mess it up a little. A little hair wax would do fine. You're pulling it off well, even at this length.

Keep the beard, but trim it a bit, or shave the neck.
